Explore the official Marist Netball Carnival Handbook, outlining event guidelines, competition rules, and the values of participation, sportsmanship and community that underpin this national event.
We acknowledge that our carnival will take place on Dja Dja Wurrung land, and so pay our respects to the Dja Dja Wurrung People as the original and ongoing custodians of the land upon which we meet today. We pay our respects to their leaders and Elders, past and present, for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and the hopes of all Jaara people.
We commit to actively working alongside the First Nations people of this ancient land for healing, reconciliation and justice and express our sorrow for the personal, spiritual, and cultural costs they have experienced over the past 250 years. May we walk forward together in harmony and in a spirit of reconciliation.
It’s wonderful to see our Marist community coming together once again to share in friendly competition and camaraderie.

The Marist Netball Carnival is a highlight of our annual sporting calendar and plays an important role in fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and connection across Marist schools. Players, coaches, and supporters alike look forward to this special event each year, and we are thrilled to host it in Bendigo in 2026.
In the lead-up to the carnival, updates and information will be shared via this website.
We look forward to welcoming all participating schools to Bendigo for what promises to be a fantastic celebration of Marist spirit and netball excellence.
The Marist Schools Australia Netball Carnival is far more than a sporting event. It is a gathering shaped by nearly two centuries of Marist history, inspired by the vision of St Marcellin Champagnat, Jean‑Marie Chavoin, and Jean‑Claude Colin. Their shared mission—to make Jesus known and loved through the gentle, faithful spirit of Mary—continues to guide Marist communities across Australia today.
Since its beginnings in the early 1970s, the Marist Netball Carnival has been grounded in values that reflect the heart of the Marist tradition. The founders of the carnival envisioned an event where participation, friendship, and the experience of Marist community mattered more than results on a scoreboard.
As we prepare for the 2026 Marist Netball Carnival, we also take time to look back on the achievements, memories, and shared moments of past carnivals. These results and stories form an important part of our collective history—reminding us how far we have come and inspiring the spirit with which we gather again.
The Opening Mass is to be held at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Bendigo.
The Carnival is to be held at Red Energy Arena, West Bendigo.
