Assumption College

Pathways Education at Assumption College aims to provide our students and their families with all the latest information that will assist each student in making decisions about future careers and their life beyond school.

We have a purpose-built Pathways Office where we use technology combined with face-to-face contact to inform, prepare, explore and challenge students in preparation for a rewarding study or work life.

Pathway services provided by the College include:

  • pathways counselling
  • pathways coaching/education/planning
  • employment services/job placement/ teaching job hunting strategies
  • resume and cover letter preparation
  • coordinating work education, school based apprenticeships
  • subject selection advice
  • course information

We also host a Career Expo, where students and parents have the opportunity to speak directly with employers and tertiary institutions about prospective employment and gap year opportunities, courses and scholarships that may interest them.

Students also have the chance to hear directly from our alumni, through our lunchtime chat program. In these informal gatherings alumni discuss their pathways and achievements across a wide range of areas, along with the process of making successful career transitions.

The Pathways staff at Assumption College have formal postgraduate career qualifications and comply with the Professional Standards for Australian Career Development Practitioners. If you would like to learn more about any of our programs, partnerships or just require additional information please explore our Pathways website further.
