Students in Year 11 engage with a series of Leadership formation sessions that strengthen their understanding of Christian Leadership, leading with a Marist Heart, leading from the front and among the team, and collaborative leadership.
Assumption College is part of a global Marist family, a network of more than 600 schools in over 80 countries. In Australia, Marist schools are governed by Marist Schools Australia Limited (MSA Ltd), a public not-for-profit company registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).
MSA Ltd is responsible for advancing education and faith formation in the Marist tradition, ensuring young people receive a high-quality Catholic education grounded in the values of St Marcellin Champagnat. Guided by an experienced Board of highly experienced educators and led by an appointed National Director, MSA Ltd provides strategic leadership and operational management for the Marist Education Ministry in Australia.
Since 1 January 2022, MSA Ltd has governed and operated twelve Marist schools nationwide, including Assumption Catholic College Kilmore. However, our school is more commonly known as Assumption College – the name recorded on the College’s Certificate of Registration of a School dated 1906.
Through contemporary governance and strong stewardship, MSA Ltd supports Marist schools and colleges to meet legislative requirements while fostering safe, inclusive and spiritually enriching learning environments. Beyond governance, MSA Ltd strengthens the Marist mission by supporting schools through professional learning, staff formation, youth ministry programs and community solidarity initiatives. These opportunities ensure that our distinctive character remains at the heart of every Marist school community.
Marist Schools Australia Ltd is centrally operated from the Marist Centre Sydney, located Suite 5.01 247 Coward Street MASCOT NSW 2020.
