THE MARLHES RESTAURANT

Delicious Dining at Assumption College

The Marlhes Restaurant is a unique feature of the Assumption College campus – providing students with a professional learning environment that covers every aspect of the restaurant business.

Hospitality students enjoy access to a full commercial kitchen, barista station, and fine dining area. At the Marlhes, our chefs-in-training experience a true restaurant setting – including serving the public.

Named after the hometown of Saint Marcellin Champagnat, Marlhes Restaurant is treasured by students, staff, and the community.

A Message from the Marlhes team

A warm welcome to Marlhes Restaurant!

Why not come along and support the learning and development of our VET Hospitality students by dining with us at Marlhes Restaurant? Enjoy beautiful seasonal produce and a great selection of Victorian wines, all prepared and served by our talented students, under the guidance of our trained Hospitality teachers.

The restaurant has a wonderful reputation within the local community, thanks greatly to the leadership of Chef Engels. We hope we can continue his legacy here at Marlhes, by creating an exciting and challenging environment for our hospitality students to develop, grow and flourish in their chosen pathway.

’‘The support of the local community is vital to the development of our Hospitality students. We are so thankful for the support of the community to date and look forward to welcoming everyone again this year.’
– Pieter Siebel, Marlhes Restaurant Manager

From the Manager

The Marlhes Restaurant has a selection of al la carte and buffet services planned throughout 2023. The menus will be carefully selected and prepared by our students, under the guidance of Chef Teacher, Dusty Treweek.

Our aim is to showcase local produce by developing dishes that allow students to master the key cookery techniques highlighted in their qualification framework.

Your support is a vital part of their development as they work towards achieving their hospitality qualifications. Booking in advance is required and we post upcoming Marlhes nights on our Assumption College social media accounts!

Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to seeing you at the Marlhes Restaurant soon.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch.
